"Trust the Chef"

We only offer one sitting called Trust the Chef, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

We do not serve à la carte at all, ever!

Trust the Chef is 3200 Baht per person, around 10 courses of traditional Thai Cuisine.

Trust the Chef at The Gallery Restaurant is all about seasonal produce, much of which we farm ourselves. The Chef creates the menu for each sitting based on the very best available produce - herbs, fruit, vegetables, seafood, fish and meat. The host will then guide you through the meal, transporting everyone together, around the different regions of Thailand and indeed back through time, offering insight as he does, into the medicinal benefits, cultural aspects and some stories along the way. The presentation of the meal is delivered in English, so a good understanding of the English language is essential for your enjoyment, please keep this in mind before making a reservation. Accompanied by uplifting tunes from our resident DJ and live musician, surrounded by nature, all with the backdrop of one of the best views on Koh Tao, Trust the Chef is way more than just fine dining.

We invite all our guests to join us for sunset at The Gold Bar around 6pm. Dinner will be served in The Gallery Restaurant, when the Chef is ready, usually around 7pm. We introduce each course so we usually finish around 10pm. Please be aware that if you have not arrived by 6.15pm we may start to contact the people on our waiting list who will then be given priority over your reservation.

Drinks are not included in the price. Corkage is 1000 Baht per bottle.

The Gallery Restaurant is not suitable for young children. Due to loud music, smoke and other safety concerns we do not permit babies or toddlers in The Gold Bar or The Gallery Restaurant, please make other arrangements before attempting to make a reservation.

We have a resident DJ/musician who helps to create our vibrant atmosphere. If you are looking for a restaurant which plays barely audible elevator music in the background, then maybe The Gallery Restaurant is not going to be for you. Every night is a celebration, the dj does not take requests, and please do not come to our home and ask us to turn the music down. We understand that we can't please everyone with taste and volume but this is how we love it.

We do not offer birthday cakes or put candles in our desserts. Many of our guests are celebrating when they come to The Gallery Restaurant and all of our guests are equally important, so we prefer to help you all celebrate together. It is not possible to request specific tables or seating areas, we designate tables according to several criteria in order to make everyone comfortable.

You are welcome to take photographs throughout the meal, but extensive mobile phone use is not permitted in The Gallery Restaurant. No laptops or tablets are allowed at all in The Gold Bar or The Gallery Restaurant.

Reservations are essential, at least one full day in advance and subject to limited availability. Due to extremely limited spaces, please do not make a reservation unless you are absolutely sure. Should you wish to cancel your reservation please do so at least 24 hours in advance. We are trying to avoid taking advance payments so if you wish to cancel on the day of your reservation we ask that you pay in full.

We do not operate a taxi service, although we will be happy to call one for you after dinner should you so wish.

We accept VISA and Mastercard payments but we have to add a 5% bank charge.

Availability also depends on whether you have any special dietary requirements.

The spice levels of each course are created by the Chef according to traditional tastes using all the original herbs and spices, some dishes are spicier than others, we will not adjust the spice levels to suit individual palates.

Aside from spice please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements and we will try to accommodate you wherever possible.
